Top Houston Dynamo Academy Prospects

I will be taking a look at what I believe are the Top 11 Houston Dynamo Academy Prospects. This list encompasses aspects such as the age of the player as well as familiarity with Dom Kinnear, as well as performance on the field. On this list there are players who are already on the first team/professionals, in college, in high school and one player who is playing in the top flight overseas. To my understanding by MLS rules, all these prospects are academy protected players or homegrown players, meaning the Dynamo have the first option to sign them. The smart thing about signing academy players is that they do not count against the team’s salary cap. The way this season has gone for the Dynamo suggest that maybe some of these players will be getting a shot in the near future as change and youth is needed in some positions. Lastly, 2 of the 11 are already on the first team under HGP contracts. So then, here we go.
